It's a bit involved and suggests that there are underlying driver incompatibilities.ġ) Open Device Manager (bottom left corner of screen where you see "Type here to search", type "Device Manager" without the quotes. I have the same model YOGA 7 15ITL5 with the same problem and found a way to get the USB MIDI devices working. There is no problem with any other USB devices like printers or USB flash drives.Īny ideas? Sorry for a long post, just wanted to include everything I have tried so far it does not show up in any of the many softwares I have tried. So somehow windows recognizes the midi device, but when I go inside the software and try to enable the device. Its a bummer since I really need the keyboard to work. I have tried to troubleshoot this for over a month now and nothing seems to work. I have tested them with two Asus laptops and they don't have any problems with these devices. I have also tried 3 other midi devices and none of them work. I've also tried all the USB ports and many different USB cables which all should work. I am 100% sure of that since I have used this device with my old laptop for years and they work fine. It is not a compatibility problem between the midi device and the software either. The issue in not with the drivers since these devices do not require them, All the Windows drivers are up to date. When I plug the keyboard in, windows recognizes it and everything seems normal, but when I try to use it in any software that uses MIDI devices, none of them can recognize it and it does not appear in the midi device list, as if there were no devices plugged in. I haven't been able to get any MIDI devices to work on This YOGA 7 Laptop.
